Even in the time of catastrophe, people seek treasure in the rubble. The capacity and willingness to search for treasure and meaning in the times of trouble testifies to the nobility of the suman spirit. We have the ability to hope and envision even when threatened or defeated. Jesus invited us to “take up” the cross, not fall under it. This Retreat is a time to hope. Not a time for wishful thinking but a moment and a place to commit ourselves anew to working for what is right and just. We do so by coming together, praying together, laughing together, singing together, remembering together as we bless the World around us with the pride and dignity within us.

Through renewed and new friendships, prayer and song, teachings and sharing, we will once more claim our dignity so we may rejoice in God’s love.

Fee includes meals (Friday dinner – Sunday lunch), lodging and program materials. Partial Scholarships are available; additional donations to help cover scholarships and expenses are appreciated.
